The error message I had today keeping me from playing with everyone else in the latest revision to the VMA Domination map starting at 1940 Australian time was this:

"Cannot create system memory surface 1555, 256x34 (size 21760 B).  Error code 8876086c."

The error code is a known issue documented in the BIS forums here:

http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/ArmA:_Troubleshooting

Which states:

"Cannot create system memory surface (Error code 8876086c)"
"This is caused by third party content using textures with non 2^n (32,64,128,256,etc) dimensions. It may not effect all video cards. "

Other players report the same issue with some ATI cards here:

http://www.tacticalgamer.com/armed-assault-technical-support-faqs/131450-cannot-create-memory-surface-ace-1-115-a.html

The bottom line is that someone's custom face, XML tag, or a custom texture in the mission since yesterday prevented me from joining the mission with everyone else.

Cardhu,

Jackal and Zulu think they have fixed your issue by removing the culprit graphic from their version of Domination. Hope that helps but we need to confirm it next time you are on server
