I vote OFP2.

Plain and simple, OFP was teh bomb when it came out.. Arma just a fancy looking version of OFP with some other kool things added.

I am sure that OFP2 will kick the crap out of any lame lookalikes and deliver the goods as promised. I have pre-ordered OFP2 already so I am keen

Just to state a bit of history, Codemasters owns the name "Operation: Flashpoint" and published the original game for for Bohemia Interactive Studios. Bohemia developed virtually everything you saw in the original OFP-- they are the design studio. So if you loved how OFP was done, chances are kudos go to BIS.

OFP2 uses the name "Operation Flashpoint" but the essence of OFP, like ARMA 1 and ARMA 2 belong to BIS.

zulu, its as simple as this.
If you loved the GAMEPLAY and everything about playing ofp, then you can't wait for arma 2 to come out.
If you love the NAME ofperation flashpoint (which is a kickass name, its why i bought it in the first place), then your waiting for ofp2
All codmasters had to do with ofp1 was naming and selling it

It seems to me that voting either way right now is pure conjecture.

I customarily wait until a game has been out for at least a month.  Then I check the developer forums and see what people who have actually played the game have to say.

I think it's just a matter of time until the entire team moves to ArmA 2.

Time for the top modding teams - like the ACE team, for example - to create new mods for ArmA 2 that address player criticisms.

Neat!

I wish we could afford new computers to play ArmA2.

I've been reading about ACE 2, sounds awesome, not fully converted just yet but glad they finally fixed so many of the bad stuff in ArmA 2. Maybe I should have read up on the 1st ACE a bit more as I dare say its very similar in a lot of ways. An example of handy info I read toady is

"Different classes have different stamina levels: Engineers, as well as Special Forces units, have increased stamina, while medics, crew members etc have lower than a normal grunt."

Very interesting

I can see crew members being less conditioned than normal infantry.

But NOT medics or corpsmen.  Medics & corpsmen do everything right alongside the infantry with which they're deployed.
